Jonathan Hartman and I just filmed this short conversation on the Sikorsky Entrepreneurial Challenge and the topics that are important to Sikorsky and Lockheed. Please take a listen and let us know what you think.
(Sorry the audio is less than stellar, we will improve it on the next one.)

Deadline For The Entrepreneurial Challenge is Friday.
TechAloft is live and growing.
The initial reaction to TechAloft.com has been great. We’ve been getting traction on content we’ve posted on IOT (Internet of Things), Augmented Reality, 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing and Energy Storage/Energy Management. A great way to understand the strategies and ideas of interest would be to view this webinar from June with top experts from Sikorsky Aircraft.
Our goal is to encourage the leaders in these fields (and more) to view TechAloft.com as a site where they can tell their stories and help the broader population understand what’s going on at the cutting edge of these interesting fields. We’ve made some great partners along the way, including the IOT Evolution conference, where Sikorsky’s Simon Gharabian’s spoke on why an IOT strategy is integral to Sikorsky’s plans for the future. That video can be found here.
Of course, we are also here to create a conduit for some of those ideas at the cutting edge to be submitted for consideration as part of the 6th Sikorsky Entrepreneurial Challenge. This year, the winner of the Challenge will receive $25K in non-dilutive award money.
The deadline for submission is 5pm EDT this coming Friday, October 16. We’ve had many great submissions and are looking for more. And we promise, this is the last e-mail you’ll get from us for a while!
Our request is that you please forward this note to anyone you know at a business, lab or research organization who you think might be an appropriate applicant. The application process is streamlined and can be completed in hours, not days, so there is plenty of time.
